height="150" alt="Kevin Sorbo" border="0" /> <p>The Ronald McDonald House was privileged to have Actor, Humanitarian and Family Man Kevin Sorbo stop in for a visit during his stay here in Greenville. Kevin was playing in the BMW Charity Pro Am that supports The Ronald McDonald House. We were able to share our passion and mission for families in need with Kevin.</p> <p>Kevin is well known for his hit series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, he has also appeared on several hit television shows such as Dharma & Greg and Murder, She Wrote. In 2008, Sorbo appeared in the spoof film Meet the Spartans, which opened at No. 1 at the U.S. box office charts.</p> <p>He recently won the Grace Award for the most inspiring performance (the equivalent of a Best Actor award) for his role as Ben Walker in <a href="http://www.thewhatifmovie.com/" target="_blank">What If</a>. He gave an equally stunning performance as Holt Blanchard in <a href="http://www.soulsurferthemovie.com/" target="_blank">Soul Surfer</a>. He was the man with Bethany Hamilton when she was brutally attacked by a shark off the coast of Hawaii.</p> <p>As a humanitarian Kevin supports many causes. One specifically is <a href="http://www.worldfitforkids.org/" target="_blank">A World Fit for Kids</a>, in which he serves as spokesperson and chair. <em>A World Fit for Kids</em> is a successful mentoring program that trains teens to become heroes to the kids in their own neighborhoods by using the vehicles of school, fitness, sports, and positive role models. The program is unique because of the powerful format of 'kids teaching kids' - it provides teens with responsibility and self-esteem and younger children with mentors and positive role models, saving two lives in the process.
