Welcomes Samantha Bauer as Communications and Events Manager

GREENVILLE, S.C.  (July 25, 2014) – Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas (RMHCC) is pleased to welcome Samantha Bauer as their new Communications and Events Manager. Bauer will be responsible for directing and administering all aspects of communications and event management for RMHCC.

“We are thrilled to welcome Samantha to our team,” said Marti Spencer, CEO and Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas. “As the demand for our services continues to grow, our presence in the community becomes essential to fulfilling our mission. Samantha’s background in events and communications will help us continue to spread our message.”

Bauer previously worked as the Special Events/Community Relations Manager for the Greenville Drive. There she was responsible for all special events at Fluor Field, oversaw all aspects of community partnerships, among many other responsibilities. Bauer started at the Drive in 2010 as an intern and joined the staff after graduation as the Special Projects Manager before being promoted to her most recent position.

“My love for the Ronald McDonald House began when I joined the Red Shoe Society two years ago,” said Bauer. “Now I am able to utilize my passion for events and communications to ultimately make a difference in the lives of others.”

Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., Bauer spent most of her life in Summerville, S.C. She received her bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management from Clemson University with a minor in Business Administration. Currently, Bauer is an active member of the Red Shoe Society, Greenville Sports League, PULSE and Greenville Clemson Young Alumni.
